Associate Attorney Marina Renom received her Juris Doctor Degree from Florida International University College of Law. While there, she was President of the Family Law Society, Philanthropy Chair of the Women’s Law Society, Secretary of the Society of Immigrant Advocates, and a member of the Hispanic Student Law Society. Upon graduation, she received a Pro Bono Medallion for her dedication to community service in the FIU Legal Clinics and the New American’s Campaign.
She discovered her passion for helping immigrants in Law School while interning in various Immigration Firms. Being an immigrant herself, she took an interest in the field because she sees her family and herself reflected in the clients she helps. Ms. Renom specially enjoys employment-based visas because she is able to learn about the intricacies of different industries through her clients.
Prior to law school, Ms. Renom earned two Bachelor Degrees from Florida State University (FSU) in International Affairs and Psychology. At FSU, she was also a very active member of the student body. She especially enjoyed being part of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity and R.E.N.E.W., an organization run by the FSU Counseling Center where student members give presentations and one-on-one training to other students in topics such as stress, time management, healthy relationships, and study skills.
Ms. Renom grew up in Argentina, Puerto Rico, Chile, and the United States. She is fully bilingual in English and Spanish and is currently learning Portuguese. In her spare time, Ms. Renom enjoys drawing, going to the beach, and trying new restaurants.
