Miguel J. Diaz received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law. While in Law School he participated in the Miami-Leipzig program which is coordinated between the University of Miami School of Law and the University of Leipzig in Germany. As part of the program Miguel had the opportunity to discuss recent legal problems on both sides of the Atlantic.
Miguel grew up in Cuba where he received a law degree from the University of Havana and started his career as an Attorney. He was later granted a full scholarship to study at the “Instituto Universitario de Investigación Jose Ortega y Gasset” in Madrid, Spain, where he received a Masters Degree in Public Administration and Political Science. Miguel is trilingual in English, Spanish and French.
As an immigrant himself, Miguel understands the significance that Immigration Law has on the life of each of his clients. Prior to obtaining his Juris Doctor degree he worked for almost two years for the General Consulate of Guatemala in Miami where he was able to assist a large number of immigrants. Miguel sees himself reflected in the clients he helps.
Miguel loves sports, specially soccer and water sports. In his free time, you can find him cruising Biscayne bay on his paddle board.
