Lucas Engel was born in Mexico to a Canadian father and Brazilian mother, and raised primarily in Florida. His multicultural upbringing — along with frequent travel to visit family in Toronto and Manaus — sparked a deep interest in immigration and global communities. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Florida International University in 2021, graduating with a double major in International Relations and Political Science and a certificate in Pre-Law.
Lucas currently works as the receptionist at Arce Immigration Law, PA, where he supports both client engagement and administrative operations. Prior to joining the firm, he worked in a variety of roles including project management at a tech startup, commercial real estate brokerage focused on immigrant-owned businesses, and most notably, as a field organizer in Spanish-speaking border communities in Arizona, promoting civic engagement and immigrant rights ahead of the general election.
Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, Lucas brings empathy, cultural insight, and strong communication skills to his work. He is also a dedicated trumpet player and performed professionally at venues such as the Miami Heat stadium during his university years. Inspired by his own family’s immigration story, Lucas is committed to helping others pursue new opportunities and build a better future in the U.S.
