Your questions answered
Common Questions
What is the minimum investment required for an E-2 visa?
There is no fixed minimum, but most successful E-2 visa applicants invest between $100,000 and $200,000 USD. The investment must be “substantial” relative to the business type and sufficient to ensure successful operation.
Can I get a Green Card through the EB-5 investor visa?
Yes. The EB-5 program grants a conditional Green Card to investors who invest $800,000 (in a TEA) or $1,050,000 in a U.S. enterprise and create at least 10 full-time jobs. After two years, you may apply to remove the conditions for permanent residency.
How can I transfer my business to the U.S. using an L-1 visa?
The L-1 visa allows executives, managers, or employees with specialized knowledge to transfer from a foreign company to a U.S. branch, subsidiary, or new office. You must have worked for the company abroad for at least one continuous year within the past three years.
Which visa is best for startup founders?
Startup founders may qualify for visas such as E-2 (if from a treaty country), O-1 (for extraordinary ability), or apply under the International Entrepreneur Rule. The best option depends on your nationality, funding level, and long-term goals.
