Bárbara was born and raised in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, where she graduated in Law at Faculdade de Direito Milton Campos. She specializes in Public and Legislative Law from Unyleya University and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Creative Writing at the University Italo Brasileiro.

With a lawyer and mediator background, Bárbara brings extensive experience in negotiation and alternative dispute resolution. Based on her experiences and professional background in other countries including: Germany, Portugal, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates, she developed an interest in intercultural communication. This, combined with her passion for human rights, led her to pursue the path of Immigration Law.

Fluent in Portuguese and English, she also possesses an intermediate level of proficiency in German and Spanish.

She enjoys traveling, engaging in outdoor hiking, spending time with her family, and dedicating time to writing in her free time. As a published author, she has two books to her name, with her latest novel, “Casulos”,  published in Lisbon in 2017.
