Bárbara Carvalho was born and raised in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, where she earned her Law degree from Faculdade de Direito Milton Campos. She holds a specialization in Public and Legislative Law from Unyleya University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Creative Writing at Universidade Ítalo Brasileiro.

With a strong background as both a lawyer and certified mediator, Bárbara brings valuable expertise in negotiation and alternative dispute resolution. Her international professional experiences in Germany, Portugal, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates have shaped her passion for intercultural communication—a passion that, when combined with her long-standing commitment to human rights, naturally led her to the field of Immigration Law.

Fluent in Portuguese and English, she also possesses intermediate proficiency in German and Spanish, which further enhances her ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds.

In recognition of her dedication to immigration advocacy, Bárbara was officially nominated for the role of General Secretary of the Immigration Commission of the Brazilian Bar Association in Minas Gerais (OAB/MG)—a prestigious acknowledgment of her leadership and expertise in the field.

Beyond her legal career, Bárbara has established herself as an author, with three published books to date. Her latest work, Se Carmim Fosse Suave, was published in 2025 by Letramento. She enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family—especially when she can combine these moments with her love for writing.
